There will be difficulties with installation on Windows11:
when the installation hangs, open the task manager, Setup/Uninstall processes - right-click, details and close SetupVWMCD_MCDkernel.tmp repeat several times, after the application offers to cancel the installation, here you need to refuse. This crutch is only for Windows 11 and is taken from the forum, I have not tried it myself and have not tested it.
Installation is intuitive. Version 7.2.1 is installed via self-extracting PostSetup 2025 + Project Odis 23.0.1 (2023)
2023 is enough for 99% of users. Everyone can throw their projects at C:\programData\Offboard_Diagnostic_Information_System_Service\MCD-PROJECTS\DSVR-ProdiMCD
Run OffboardDiagSetup-Service_VWMCD_7_2_1
Install.
Apply files from the patch folder - launcher and plugins copy to the program folder.
Run Offboard_Diagnostic_Information_System_Service.part01.exe and wait
If you need to move the license file, then to the address C:\ProgramData\Offboard_Diagnostic_Information_System_Service\license
There should be ~50GB of free space on drive C.
There are two files in the distribution: OffboardDiagSetup-Service_VWMCD_721 , the second one got there by accident, they are absolutely identical.
