EI also plays a role in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and personal well-being. Several critical skills and competencies are associated with improved EI:

[*] Motivation or the ability to use one's emotions to drive and achieve goals;

Some people are naturally more emotionally intelligent than others, but emotional intelligence can be developed and improved through training and practice. This manuscript offers skills that can effectively improve EI for anyone, regardless of their present skill level.
