The Crow Hill Company Origins Mystic Piano is a sample-based piano instrument designed to provide an unusual and highly expressive alternative to conventional piano sounds. It uses performance-focused recording techniques to create a playable instrument built from different resonating elements of a piano.
The instrument originated from experiments with palm-muted piano strings and developed through extensive recording and experimentation at Castlesound Studios. Its sound design focuses on physical performance techniques rather than relying primarily on external processing.
Mystic Piano provides control over five key sound elements, allowing users to balance different components and shape the instrument's tonal profile. The library also includes multiple dynamic layers, round robins, specialized sustain samples, and dedicated pedal-down resonance recordings.
