What's new in NX 2406.3000
Including overridden geometries in proximity search
When you perform a proximity search in an assembly in a design workset, overridden geometries in the assembly are now also included. When you save an assembly that contains overridden geometries, such as when you use the Deform Component or Promote Body commands, its true shape (.tso) file and bounding box data is now saved in Teamcenter. SmartDiscovery indexing is updated in the same session to include the overridden geometries. This lets you perform an accurate proximity search operation when there are overridden geometries in an assembly. Previously, overridden geometries were not found during proximity search. Use the new Teamcenter preference TC_NX_Publish_BBOX_TrueShape_Overrides to get accurate results for a proximity search that contains overridden geometries. In the Filter Recipe dialog box, the Proximity filter type option now includes overridden body changes in the assembly.

In the Filter Recipe dialog box, the bounding box used in the Volume filter option also provides the correct results for assemblies with overridden geometries. To enable proximity search to find the overridden geometries, ensure the Cell Size in the True Shape customer default is greater than 0.0.

You can get complete results if there are overridden geometries when you perform a proximity or volume search.
