We Bring The Noise is Scooter's eighth album. It was released on June 11, 2001, and reissued on June 7, 2013 as a double album, "20 Years of Hardcore". It spawned two singles: "Posse (I Need You On Tne Floor)" and "Aiii Shot The DJ". This was the last album to feature Axel Coon. The album was nominated for a Fonogram Award in Hungary in 2002 for best foreign dance album. The vinyl edition of the album was released on December 9, 2022.

After the less successful "Sheffield" album, Scooter began to produce harder but more cohesive material. In the meantime, they experimented with several projects (e.g. Ratty), which allowed them to try out completely new styles, slightly different from Scooter's sound, under pseudonyms.

In April 2001, Kontor Records released a vinyl album titled "Posse", featuring "Guess Who?". This was nothing more than a pre-release of the new single under a pseudonym (then known as "Mayday"). The video clip and maxi were finally released in May, and at the same time it was announced that the title of the latest album would be "We Bring The Noise!". Its final release had to wait until June.

The album was generally harder and more techno than its predecessors, with more instrumental or semi-instrumental (containing only distorted sound effects). The intro, "Habibi Halua", is a slow introduction with female vocals. This leads into "Posse (I Need You on the Floor)", a hard, fast song in which one of the characteristic effects of the happy hardcore era, HPV (highly distorted vocals), returns. This is followed by "Acid Bomb", a pure techno track, with another effect, LPV (a low distortion vocal, which was a characteristic of Brooklyn Bounce). "We Bring The Noise", as the title track, is fast, energetic, and also contains an electric guitar effect. "R.U. (Are You Happy?)" is an instrumental track in two parts: the beginning is slower, but energetic; the second half is faster, but less powerful. Commodore 64 effects were also used in its creation. "So What' Cha Want" is slower, more reminiscent of club music.

"Burn The House" is the most interesting track on the album: in its style it shows close affinity with electric boogie and house, and its melody gradually rises and falls. "Chinese Whispers" is a long semi-instrumental track, with Chinese vocals, a fast tempo, and strong beats. "I Shot The DJ" is the second single from the album, interspersed with Ali G lyrics. There are significant differences compared to the single version, practically we can say that Scooter has two songs with (almost) the same title. The album version has more piano, more continuous, less abrupt lyrics by H.P., and a slower tempo than the single version, which is more clubby, has more lyrics, and has a different melody. The following "Transcendental" is a long, instrumental hard trance song. "Remedy" is a techno song interspersed with LPV, and is the shortest song on the album. Finally, "Devil Drums" was included on the album as an instrumental hard trance song.

"Am Fenster" on the limited edition is Scooter's first song in German. The middle part of the song is a slow, otherwise quite fast-paced song.
