Bentley Systems Inc. has released ? OpenBridge Designer 2024 Update 2 (24.00.02.015) is a unique application that combines modeling, analysis, and design into one comprehensive bridge product. This minor release includes fixes and optimizations to existing tools and software security.

The major release and its components OpenBridge Modeler (OBM), RM Bridge (RMB), LEAP Bridge Concrete (LBC), and LEAP Bridge Steel (LBS) includes many new enhancements and improvements to existing tools and software security.

? What's new in OpenBridge Designer 2024.00.02
This release fixes the 2024 Update 1 OpenRoads Circular Referencing of DGNs issue. Files from older versions are automatically upgraded when opened in this newer release. This release automatically evaluates and heals files to ensure they are not impacted by the issue from 2024 Update 1. When a file is detected as previously opened with 2024 Update 1, the software will evaluate and heal it if required. One of four dialogs will appear based on the success of the healing process. ? RM Bridge
The list of issues fixed are as below:

• D D E - Dynamic Data Exchange > Stages and Tendon Actions - There was a mistake in the report generated by this DDE module; especially, "dl" and "l" quantities were reported wrong. The same report (stress.lst) is also produced by the solver during analysis where these were reported correctly. Now this has been addressed.
  
• While importing RM TCL file, parser used to crash, without any indication why, if there was a missing keyword, "BEGIN" next to "RMSCHED". Now this has been fixed. It is not always necessary to use "BEGIN" keyword. The program assumes its presence in the absence of it.
  
• Analyzer > Properties > Variables > EC8_DESIGN_SPEC > EC8d_sd_Tab > EC8d_TD - There was a mistake in generating Elastic Design Spectrum based on EN 1998-1 when equations 3.15 or 3.16 governed. The limits of these two equations do not involve multiplying with S (defined in 3.2.2.2). In previous versions, by default, Swas multiplied along with the product of b and ag.
  
• IRC-112:2020 has the wrong formula for Relative Humidity, BetaRH. RM Bridge also implemented the wrong expression in the variables that need correction. The formula got corrected in errata later on. RM Bridge needed to adapt to that correction.
  

Wrong expression was,

BetaRH = -1.55 (1 - RH/100)^3

which will be,

BetaRH = -1.55 (1 - (RH/100)^3)

• Training Examples were not available in the latest v.24.00.01.* out in the market. Now this is fixed. Also, the links shown on the training page were not accessible. Now those links are effective and lead to proper YouTube videos.
  
• Analyzer > View Options > Draw RmSet - This option used to crash the application. This is now addressed.
  
• Certain Bridge models generated using Wizard were making the application to crash. This is now fixed.
  
• Analyzer > Results > Load Cases > Diagram (lower right corner) - PDF report generator was always throwing error when accessed from Diagram window. This has been addressed now.
  

? LEAP Bridge Concrete (LBC)

• The program crashed due to uninitialized variables being used to store cross-frame data in LEAP Bridge Steel.
  
• The analytical model of a steel plate girder bridge with pile bents was created incorrectly in LEAP Bridge Steel due to an error in the exchange of a spiral alignment dataset when the physical model was transferred from OpenBridge Modeler.
