The boy that freed them not only wasn't a boy, but in fact is truly his mate who is about to drive him straight to the brink. The kid with his hands all over her is about to learn exactly what happens when someone touches his mate.

Shelby is a human, but she lives with shifters. Her best friend Ashton's parents took her in after her parents died, making her part of their pack despite being human and having no blood ties to the pack. She was grateful that their alpha allowed her to live there, but even more thankful that he treated her as one of them, giving her the chance to become stronger than if she'd stayed in the human world. Mostly though, she loved Ashton's parents like her own, and when he went missing, she wasn't about to sit around waiting for the group to make a decision. Instead, she went looking herself and discovered not only where he was, but also her reason for becoming part of the pack.

Trapped in a cage shifters couldn't escape, he and the others stuck in it need some help from a human. From her. The only way she could think of getting inside that cage was the same way the shifters had, by getting caught. She never thought the scents covering her could possibly backfire on her, but that was before the biggest, sexiest man she'd ever seen said she was his. She knew shifters were possessive of their mates, but she never truly expected to find herself on the receiving end of that possessiveness.

Not that she really minds, at least not until she learns he's the son of the alpha regent. The closest thing to royalty the shifters had. It pains her to know that she won't get to experience more of his demanding ways, but it wasn't possible that the alpha regent's son could have a human mate. Was it?

Landon's not about to give up what was given to him. When the words she can't be his come out of her mouth, he's done. Ready to show her exactly how much he wanted her. And she was about to find out just how much he was looking forward to having her as his human mate.
