Description:
The long road from hardware to software.
Designed to be powerful and affordable, the TyrellN6 is a compact yet versatile synthesizer based on ideas for an Amazona hardware instrument that never came to fruition. After many ups and downs with the hardware concept, Urs (u-he) suggested developing a software version, as he already had most of the proposed features in an early version of Diva. It was eventually decided that u-he would provide the synth engine, while Amazona would take care of the rest and distribute the version as freeware. The original concept called for a streamlined set of modules, which has been preserved in software: the complete absence of panel switching or menu diving ensures a very fast and fun workflow!
