Realism is an artistic practice that aims to faithfully represent reality. The Handbook's four sections "Theories of Global Realism," "Practices of Global Realisms," "Global Realisms and the Novel," and "Intermedial Global Realisms" present realism as a transnational, transhistorical, and intermedial global phenomenon.
