Trainslop generator Dawtail decided that ditching real-life train model fans with an annual game on the topic wasn't enough, so they turned to children. In their defense, they at least added story missions and a map of the simulated game world, where each city has story or local missions tied to the transportation of train cars and their sorting (Forza Horizon missed the boat somewhere). The last time I played a game from this generator was in 2020, and since then the only notable innovation is that same global map with missions. In this particular game, it seems they've improved the train's acceleration and braking efficiency, making it much easier to control. In a realistic world, all those trains, train cars, and cars with animated faces look cringeworthy. Then again, who needs train drivers anymore? AI will replace them! Surely it will? All hope is that the developers at Davtail will one day be replaced by an AI that understands the futility of releasing the same game every year without any noticeable improvements. If you want to ride trains and brush up on one of the languages, it might be useful for your child, but don't go too far; you might need to call the yellow car for emergency assistance. Keep in mind that I only managed to complete the tutorial mission without incident, and only because there was nowhere to crash. In the very first mission I opened outside the tutorial, I switched a switch incorrectly, the train hit it, and flew off the map, and they told me to start over-it's immediately obvious that this game was made by experienced professionals.
