Description:
A free Windows graphical interface for encoding HEVC (H.265) video. Supports software encoding via libx265 and x265 CLI, as well as hardware encoders from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel. Automatically detects which encoders are available on your system.

Functions:

5 encoder modes
libx265 via FFmpeg, the standalone x265 command-line interface, NVIDIA NVENC, AMD AMF, and Intel QSV. Automatically detects which of these are available.
6 pre-installed usage scenarios
Archiving, Streaming, HDR/4K, Web/Social Media, Blu-ray and Mobile - each mode comes with a pre-configured CRF, preset speed and profile.
Editable FFmpeg command
Displays the exact command before encoding. You can edit it directly or paste it from the HEVC settings guide-your changes will be applied without modification.
Automatic source detection
Reads resolution, codec, frame rate, bit depth, and HDR flag via FFprobe. Automatically selects the Main10 profile for HDR sources.
HDR10 metadata skip
Passes primary colors, transformation function and color matrix through the encoder for correct HDR display.
Real-time progress
Progress bar showing speed and estimated completion time. Full FFmpeg log tab for troubleshooting.

HEVC Kvazaar encoder support
Added support for Kvazaar, an open-source HEVC encoder licensed under the BSD license from Tampere University. It is compatible with multi-core processors and is a free alternative to x265 for HEVC encoding. Place the kvazaar.exe file next to X HEVC Encoder and select it from the encoder drop-down list.
