IDA Pro is an interactive disassembler that is widely used for reverse engineering. It is exceptionally flexible, has a built-in command language, and supports many executable file formats for a large number of processors and operating systems. The original author and main developer is Ilfak Gilfanov.

How a disassembler is able to create maps of their execution to show the binary instructions that are actually executed by the processor in a symbolic representation (in assembly language). IDA Pro implements advanced technologies that allow you to generate assembly language source code from machine-executable code and make this complex code more readable for humans.
IDA, to a certain extent, can automatically perform code analysis using cross-references, knowledge of the parameters of standard library function calls, and other information. However, its full power is revealed in the interactive interaction with the user. At the beginning of the study, the disassembler performs an automatic analysis of the program, and then the user, using the interactive tools of IDA, begins to give meaningful names, comments, create complex data structures and otherwise add information to the listing generated by the disassembler until it becomes clear what exactly the program under study does and how it does it .
The disassembler has console and graphical versions. Supports a large number of executable file formats. One of the distinctive features of IDA Pro is the ability to disassemble the bytecode of Java and .NET virtual machines. Also supports macros, plugins and scripts, and the latest versions contain an integrated debugger.
