The menu bar displays the remaining battery time and percentage. When the power cord is connected, the app features a setting that hides the menu bar icon, which can be helpful if you only care about the battery time/percentage when on battery.
You can hide the system battery indicator by dragging its icon from the menu bar while pressing the command key. You may also drag and drop menu bar icons while holding down the command key to reorganize them. That means installing this app in the exact location of the system battery indicator.
There's also a preference to be notified when the battery is fully charged or at a specific percentage. Press the Option key while the menu is displayed to see the battery's state and health.
